Quique Sánchez Flores replaces Coudet as Alavés head coach on contract until June 2028

Quique Sánchez Flores will replace Eduardo Germán Coudet as Alavés head coach on a contract running until June 2028, and will take charge for the first time on Sunday against Valencia.

The club said in a statement that the Spaniard brings strong experience in LaLiga and European competitions.

He has previously led Valencia CF, Atlético de Madrid, Getafe CF and RCD Espanyol, and has overseen more than 350 top-flight matches. Internationally he managed SL Benfica, winning the League Cup, and Watford FC in the Premier League.

He also lifted the UEFA Cup and the Super Cup with Atlético de Madrid.

Alavés are targeting another year in the top division.

Sánchez Flores will join Deportivo Alavés immediately.
