Valencia host Alavés at Mestalla on matchday 27, with the visitors missing Pablo Ibáñez and Víctor Parada through suspension.

Valencia earned an important win over Osasuna last Sunday. According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán's side are 13th on 29 points, five clear of the drop, while Alavés sit 16th on 27 after defeat at the Ciutat de Valencia.

The loser on Sunday could be left badly affected, especially Alavés, who are more in need of points and face tension on the bench after Coudet's recent move to River Plate.

Parada, a regular on the left, was sent off for two bookings against Levante and must serve a ban. Ibáñez took his fifth yellow, so he also misses out.

For Valencia, Lucas Beltrán is a doubt after two games out with a muscle problem and could get minutes. Long-term injuries mean Julen, Diakhaby and Copete remain unavailable.
