Rafa Mir's start at Aris Thessaloniki has faltered, the former Valencia striker losing his starting place and searching for form.

According to Superdeporte, he has played eight competitive games across the Super League and Kypello Elladas, totalling 339 minutes without scoring.

He began as a starter on the opening matchday against Kalamata, completing 90 minutes. He then came on for just over half an hour against OFI Crete, and later featured in the second half at AEK Athens. He was unused versus PAOK, then had nine minutes against Iraklis, with records showing no goals or assists in the league.

The Greek Cup has offered no respite. He has played all three ties, against Anagennisi Karditsa, Asteras Aktor and Marko. He logged 74 minutes in the first, around an hour in the second and 45 in the third.

Having started the campaign as the reference in attack, he has slipped into a secondary role and still needs a performance to change the dynamic.

The Seville club agreed a loan with Aris, allowing him to continue his career abroad after receiving judicial clearance to live outside Spain. His case is under appeal and not final. He was sentenced at first instance to eight and a half years in prison for one offence of sexual assault and another of injuries, and must report periodically to the Spanish consulate in Thessaloniki.
