Rafa Silva in Lisbon, avoids media as Benfica move advances | OneFootball

Rafa Silva is in Lisbon and close to a Benfica move, but he was not seen by reporters waiting at Humberto Delgado Airport.

According to A Bola, on Wednesday, 21 January, the Portuguese international travelled on a private flight bound for the Aeródromo de Tires at around 11:00, but the aircraft was diverted to Humberto Delgado.

He then avoided the media and is thought to have exited through an alternative door. In the arrivals hall, his agent João Araújo, his girlfriend and the couple's dog were seen.

His presence in the capital strengthens the prospect of a move back to Benfica. Mário Branco was key in unblocking negotiations with Besiktas, which is expected to receive about €5 million plus €2 million in add-ons.

For Besiktas this season he has made 16 appearances, 10 in the league in Türkiye, four in the Europa Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying. Across 1,360 minutes, he has five goals and three assists.
