Rafiki Said set for Wolves medical after €9m deal agreed

Wolves are closing in on the signing of Rafiki Said after agreeing a €9m (around £7.7m) deal with Standard Liege, according to ExpressAndStar.com.

The 26-year-old winger is set to fly in for a medical on Friday. He will become Cesar Peixoto’s third summer signing and is due to travel with the squad for their pre-season camp in Portugal.

He joined the Belgian club last summer from Troyes and recorded eight goals and five assists in 38 appearances.

Said came through Brest’s academy, had a loan at Stade Briochin, then moved permanently to Nimes before switching to Troyes.

At international level he has eight goals in 21 caps for Comoros. Said’s signing follows the additions of free agents Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez and adds width to a squad short on wide players.
