Rangers announce £8.5m deal for Girona winger Kim Min-su on four-year contract | OneFootball

Rangers have announced the signing of winger Kim Min-su from Spanish club Girona.

The 20-year-old joins the Scottish Premiership giants on a four-year deal with an option for another year after his £8.5 million release clause was triggered.

Minsu was born in Korea but moved to Catalonia with his family aged ten, and has lived there since.

He joined Girona’s youth ranks as a 16-year-old in 2022, and made his senior debut two years later.

He made seven senior appearances for the club, including one in the Champions League, in 2024-25.

The South Korean winger spent the 2025-26 season on loan at FC Andorra, where he bagged six goals and four assists in 40 games in La Liga 2.

He played twice for Girona in the competition this season before completing his move to Rangers.

The left winger becomes the Gers’ 12th signing of the summer They had tried to re-sign Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham Hotspur after his successful spell last season.

They also pulled the plug on a deal for Couhaib Driouech due to an issue flagged during his medical.

Min-su met manager Derek McInnes before their Europa Conference League play-off game against Jablonec, but was not in the squad.

He will likely make his debut when they face Aberdeen in the league this weekend.

The South Korean forward has shown significant quality throughout his career, and will be expected to hit the ground running in Scotland.

He has the technical tools to be a success in Scotland, and could potentially be a huge hit for his new club.

They will now look to potentially conclude their summer business with the signing of Kevin Kelsy.
