Rangers are interested in bringing Cameron Devlin to Ibrox this summer after he left Hearts, according to Sky Sports.

Manager Derek McInnes knows Devlin from their time together at Tynecastle Park, and a reunion could be on the cards.

Rangers are desperate to challenge for the Scottish Premiership title next season and their new boss wants more quality additions.

Devlin is a free agent after he failed to agree a new deal with Hearts, and a move to Rangers may appeal to him.

The 28-year-old Australia international was at the World Cup and is looking forward to a new challenge.

Lawrence Shankland left Hearts and reunited with McInnes at Ibrox, and Devlin could be the next to join him.

The Australian is not the only midfielder on their radar, with the club also keeping tabs on Tromso’s Jens Hjerto-Dahl and Partizan Belgrade’s Vanja Dragojevic.

Rangers have signed five players this summer – Ross McCrorie, Ivan Pandur, Ben Godfrey, Dan Neil and Shankland.

They need more quality additions if they are to stop Celtic in the title race next season and challenge for the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup.

Devlin played in 33 games across all competitions last term and was a key part of the Hearts squad that missed out on the title to Celtic by two points.

His major strengths include tackling, passing, intercepting the ball and shooting from a distance.

Devlin made 171 appearances for the Jambos across five seasons.

His huge experience and quality would be useful as McInnes bids to guide Rangers to the title next season.
