FLW takes a deep dive into the Terriers' latest star who is attracting significant attention.
Huddersfield Town have a star on their hands in the form of Cameron Ashia, and the 20-year-old is attracting significant interest from multiple clubs in the Championship, as well as Scottish giants Rangers, as the League One campaign enters the run-in.
According to the Daily Mail, the Terriers are facing a battle to keep hold of their young star with his contract set to come to an end at the end of the 2025/26 season, and he will be available on a free transfer to other clubs, although the West Yorkshire outfit will be owed some compensation.
While he has not been a consistent feature for either Lee Grant or Liam Manning, he is a player with plenty of potential, and it has not come as a surprise to see several top clubs targeting him ahead of the summer, including Rangers and Scottish Premiership league leaders Hearts.
Despite this interest, Ashia is not quite a household name just yet, and Football League World has taken a look at the key facts, stats and information that EFL fans should know about the young Huddersfield talent.
The 2005-born star is the nephew of current Nottingham Forest winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and like his uncle, he is eligible to play for both England and Ghana at an international level. However, he is yet to be called up by either nation at a youth level.

Ashia's break into the professional game came in 2022, when he took part in a Fox Soccer Academy Showcase event, an initiative that allows young players between the ages of 16 and 18 to show their talents in front of scouts for professional clubs.
It was there when he was first placed onto the radar of then League One side Derby County, and he signed a scholarship deal with the Rams in July 2022 as the East Midlands outfit looked to rebuild their academy following administration.
However, he spent just one year at Derby, scoring five goals and registering five assists in 23 U18 Premier League games. He was released at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, and he underwent a trial at Sunderland. But, this was unsuccessful.
Born in London, Ashia finally got his chance to shine with Huddersfield after he joined the Terriers in April 2024, linking up with their U21 side before moving up to the first team incredibly quickly - making his debut in the EFL Trophy.
This season, he has become a more regular face in the squad and he has now made nearly 20 League One appearances for a side chasing a top six finish in the third tier.

He scored his first league goal for Huddersfield against Reading in just his second game, before finding the back of the net against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup just a few days later.
Ashia has made quite the impact already in West Yorkshire over the course of the year, and the winger is looking to stretch his wings sooner rather than later.
