If a recent report from the Rangers Review is true, the Gers are closing in on Badredine Bouanani, who is currently undergoing a medical ahead of his season-long loan (which includes an €18m buy option) from German outfit VfB Stuttgart. Born in Lille, the 21-year-old attacker represented France at various youth levels, but switched his allegiance to Algeria in 2023, making 5 international appearances to date. He progressed through LOSC Lille’s academy ranks and also featured for their reserves during the 2021-22 season.

Bouanani left his boyhood club on a Bosman transfer to join Ligue 1 rivals Nice.
