Raniele equals career-best haul, eyes new mark at Corinthians

Corinthians lost 2-1 at Coritiba’s Couto Pereira on Sunday night in round 24 of the Brasileiro, yet Raniele’s strike matched his most prolific season.
According to Meu Timao, the midfielder now has three goals in 2026, equalling previous peaks in 2021 with Bahia, 2023 with Cuiabá and 2025 with Corinthians. With the campaign ongoing, he can set a new personal mark.
Aged 29 and wearing number 14, he came through at Ferroviária before spells at Penapolense, Portuguesa, Jacuipense, Botafogo-SP, Bahia, Avaí and Cuiabá.
He began as a centre-back before moving into midfield, and has 19 goals in 405 senior games.
His other goals this season came in the 2-0 win over Independiente Santa Fe on 15 April in the Libertadores group stage, and the 3-2 league victory against São Paulo on 10 May, both at the Neo Química Arena.
Signed from Cuiabá for 2.5 million euros in early 2024, around R$ 13.3 million at the time, he has made 149 appearances for Corinthians, starting 133.
Across those matches the team recorded 66 wins, 45 defeats and 38 draws, with six goals and two assists from Raniele.
He was also part of the Paulista and Copa do Brasil triumphs in 2025, plus the Supercopa do Brasil in 2026.
Corinthians host Santos on Sunday at 16:00 in round 25 of the Brasileiro, offering him a chance to push on.
