After winning their first two games against Elche and Athletic Club, FC Barcelona are set to return to action on Monday when they will be hosting Rayo Vallecano for their third game of La Liga. The Catalans will be looking to get the full three points to retain their lead at the top of the league table, especially if Real Madrid win their game against Malaga on Sunday.

Ahead of this match, the Rayo Vallecano coach, Benat San Jose, addressed a press conference, and as Mundo Deportivo has reported, talked about several aspects related to the Blaugrana club.

While recognizing the strengths of Barcelona, the Spanish coach still highlighted that they have some weaknesses as well, and was looking to take advantage of these weaknesses to get a favorable result in his side’s upcoming game:

“Barcelona is a team with great strengths, and they are also in spectacular form. They are stronger at home. But they also have weaknesses. We must manage all phases of the game, be good in all of them, and exploit our strengths by attacking their weaknesses. We have to look for those areas.”

San Jose also highlighted the important role Raphinha is expected to play in this game, and was wary of the Brazilian star:

“Raphinha, both as a number nine and on the wing, can cause a lot of damage.”

The Rayo coach also spoke highly of Hansi Flick and recognized the good work done by his Barcelona counterpart:

“The coach makes everyone pull in the same direction. Achieving that, with an aggressive philosophy in the best sense of the word, makes them formidable. In addition, they have made some very important signings, but the coach deserves a lot of credit.”

There is no doubt that Hansi Flick deserves nothing but praise for his work as a Barcelona coach, and it is good to see a rival coach recognizing him. Going forward, the two coaches will be looking to get the better of one another on Monday, and it remains to be seen which one of them will get the bragging rights.
