Florian Plettenberg reports that RB Leipzig striker Yannick Eduardo is about to join Hoffenheim on a three-party-deal. Eduardo’s current Dutch second division loan club FC Dordrecht will exercise a €500,000 purchase option on the 20-year-old. The Czech U21 international will then be immediately “flipped” by Dordrecht for a quick profit. Eduardo will cost his new Bundesliga outfit €2m.
Given how much attacking depth Hoffenheim currently possess, it appears unlikely that Eduardo will feature on Christian Ilzer’s first-team. The most likely scenario is nevertheless probably that Eduardo will join TSG II in the 3. Liga.
When referencing the Eduardo rumors yesterday, GGFN noted that Hoffenheim were actively attempting to re-stock in attack on the reserve squad. Naturally, another loan out to Holland for Eduardo cannot be ruled out.
Though of Czech and Angolan descent, Eduardo grew up in the Netherlands and feels at home there. The entirely of Eudardo’s professional career has been spent in the Dutch second division.
