RB Leipzig confirm El Aynaoui loan from AS Roma with option to buy | OneFootball

RB Leipzig have signed Neil El Aynaoui on loan from AS Roma for the rest of the season.

According to BuLi News, Leipzig also hold an option to buy the Morocco international.

Managing director for sport Marcel Schäfer said El Aynaoui matches the club’s profile, highlighting his aggression and energy, intensity without the ball, and creativity in possession, as well as his ability to impose himself and cover ground.

Schäfer added that the midfielder showed his quality at the World Cup and, at 25, combines experience with room to develop, noting Leipzig have tracked him for years.

El Aynaoui said Leipzig’s reputation and style suit him and that he is looking forward to challenges in the Bundesliga, the Champions League and the DFB-Pokal.

He said talks with the club’s representatives and Martín Demichelis were convincing, and that he wants to contribute immediately.
