RB Leipzig are closing in on a deal for Stade Reims defender Abdoul Koné, with Bayer Leverkusen also in the frame.
Le Parisien reports that Leipzig are on the verge of agreeing a transfer for the 20-year-old. The fee is understood to be just over €20 million, including bonuses.

If all goes to plan, Koné would complete the switch this winter, then return to Reims on loan until the end of the season.
Leverkusen have also pursued the player, but appear to have been beaten to his signature, with Leipzig prepared to offer a significantly higher sum.
Sky Germany also reports on the move, while noting that a full agreement has not yet been reached.
