FC Bayern wants to extend Harry Kane’s contract. The English forward is happy at the record-breaking champions and is clearly leaning toward signing a new deal. Just a few days ago, he reassured the fans, and now he’s gone a step further.
Kane and FC Bayern are definitely a good fit. The record champions made a good decision in 2023 when they signed the striker from Tottenham Hotspur. The Englishman’s contract expires in 2027; at the moment, there are still a few key points to iron out before a signing can actually be discussed.
However, everyone in charge at the record champions is optimistic that it won’t be long before the Kane situation is resolved. Then they can ramp up contract talks with Michael Olise.
Even after the Super Cup victory over Borussia Dortmund, Harry Kane once again spoke about his potential contract extension. “I’ve said it before—we’ll be talking shortly. We’re in no rush; we’re not panicking. My full focus is definitely on FC Bayern,” said Kane. He added that he himself is completely relaxed and is waiting for the next round of talks.

There apparently isn’t a specific timeline for the extension. “It’s about the season that’s just starting. Discussions are taking place behind the scenes. And when something concrete comes up, you’ll hear about it,” Kane explained.
Meanwhile, he’s not dissatisfied with the match against BVB. The Englishman was particularly pleased with the first half. “The first half was excellent. We played very well and could have led by a much wider margin at halftime. A 2-0 lead is, of course, always a dangerous score—plus, they got better and more dangerous after the break,” he explained.
He also highlighted what made this victory right at the start of the season so special: “It’s a great win to start the season. Winning on the road against a rival is always special. And to do it at their stadium, too.” Bayern are back in action as early as Friday, when they’ll face VfB Stuttgart to kick off the new season.
