RB Leipzig are aiming to trim a 35-man squad and raise around €113m from player sales to open up room in this summer’s market.

“I give each player four or five weeks to show what he can do. We still need time to assess whether a player stays or leaves,” he said, speaking to Bild.

A long list of potential departures is being reviewed, with 15 players to be assessed by new head coach Martín Demichelis.

Particular focus falls on last summer’s arrivals who have yet to make an impact, notably Conrad Harder and Johan Bakayoko. Bakayoko is reportedly being actively promoted by the coach, while Harder has already been offered to other clubs.

Defenders El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Castello Lukeba are considered sellable, with competition now arriving in the form of Maxime Estéve.

Lukas Klostermann, Eljif Elmas, Lutsharel Geertruida and Arthur Veermeeren are understood to be free to leave.

Several youngsters still have to prove themselves, including Ezechiel Banzuzi, Andrija Maksimovic and Viggo Gebel.
