Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig are close to selling Suleman Sani to Al-Qadsiah after agreeing an €8m package that includes easily attainable performance-related bonuses, with the player’s final approval still required.
The prospective deal is unusual given Sani has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Bundesliga club.
He joined from AS Trenčín in January as a long-term development prospect rather than an immediate first-team option. Leipzig staff highlighted his pace, physicality and defensive work-rate, and that he mainly operates from the left.
Leipzig now appear positioned for a quick return only months after his arrival. An €8m sale would represent a rapid turnaround on their January outlay.
Completion depends on the player signing off. If finalised at €8m, Leipzig would post a profit on the short-term deal.
