RB Leipzig ‘to sign’ Rocco Reitz from Borussia Mönchengladbach

Sport Bild reports that RB Leipzig are close to signing Borussia Mönchengladbach vice-captain Rocco Reitz for around €20m, a sum below his €28m release clause.

Sky Germany claims Gladbach will receive €28m, while Kicker cites €23m, leaving the final fee uncertain.

Leipzig view the 23-year-old as their preferred replacement for Xaver Schlager, who is on an expiring contract.

A Duisburg native, Reitz has progressed through Gladbach’s academy since his professional debut in October 2020, and his estimated market value currently stands at €17m.

The final package could include performance-related bonuses and a sell-on clause.
