RC Lens consider their transfer business close to complete. They are still monitoring a left-sided centre-back and, in attack, only if Rayan Fofana moves on, as the window enters its final week.
According to L'Équipe, sporting director Jean-Louis Leca has brought €44m into the club’s coffers, driven by €70m of sales against €26m of purchases. The squad has been reshaped with six new signings.
After that flurry, Leca could be forgiven for feeling underemployed at this stage of the summer. Even so, he remains on alert as the final week unfolds.
His phone may yet keep ringing in the coming days.
Lens are prepared to react if the market presents the right opportunity before the cut-off.
