Givairo Read and Feyenoord are considering a €25m offer from Roma, with Nottingham Forest also interested. ‘I want to consider a transfer if that opportunity arises.’

The right-back just celebrated his 20th birthday last month and made a strong impression last season with two goals and three assists in 20 competitive games.

He came up through the Feyenoord youth academy, and is also on the radar for Nottingham Forest, so Roma are hoping that their €25m offer can prove sufficient to get a deal over the line quickly.

The Corriere dello Sport, Sky Sport Italia and more confirm that Roma are waiting for the response from the Dutch side, which they hope to get this weekend.

Meanwhile, Read spoke to Voetbal International in the Netherlands about his future.

“It’s not that I think I have to leave now because I’ve learned all I can here, that is certainly not the case,” said Read.

“I still have an awful lot to learn and I’ve only just turned 20. Having said that, I want to consider a transfer if that opportunity arises. You never know how many chances you get in life.

“If I don’t leave, then I will stay and I just want to play to win the title here. After that, the Dutch national team is the next step, I hope.”

The right-back can also play on the left when required, or in a more advanced role in Gian Piero Gasperini’s 3-4-3 formation.

He suffered from muscular injuries last season, ruling him out for much of 2026.

Meanwhile, Roma welcomed defender Konstantinos Koulierakis this afternoon, as he landed at the airport and will undergo his medical over the weekend.

It is a deal with Wolfsburg worth €16.5m plus add-ons and a 20 per cent cut of the future sale fee.
