The brass at Real Betis have identified a member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga rivals RCD Mallorca as a potential summer signing.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing El Correo de Andalucía, who point towards Dominik Greif as the player in question.

Shot-stopper Greif is for his part looking increasingly likely to be on the move with a view to next season.

This comes with the Slovakian having rejected Mallorca’s latest contract renewal offer, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer of 2026.

Speaking during an interview with Deportes Cope Baleares (as cited by MD) this week, Bermellones sporting director Pablo Ortells admitted:

“We don’t want to force anyone to be with us; we want people who want to be with us, who are convinced, and who will perform on the pitch.”

A number of clubs are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation of Greif, who racked up starts in 31 of Mallorca’s La Liga fixtures this past season.

And chief among them are the aforementioned Real Betis.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements between the posts, Manuel Pellegrini and co. have earmarked Greif as a leading option, with a summer offer for the 28-year-old potentially on the cards.
