According to AS, the tension between Vinicius Júnior and Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid has subsided. The Brazilian winger, furious after being substituted in the 72nd minute, had stormed off the pitch in anger, venting his frustration as he headed to the dressing room. Since then, however, a meeting has taken place between the player and his coach, in an atmosphere described as "cordial and professional".

Vinicius has issued a public apology, even referencing the club president in his message of reconciliation. But while the storm may have passed behind closed doors, the real answer will come on the pitch. Real Madrid's upcoming clash with Valencia this Saturday will serve as the true test.
