Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho has this week assured that he would not bring Lamine Yamal to the club from Barcelona, if afforded the opportunity.

This of course comes as the Portuguese prepares for a season in which Los Blancos will be forced to battle it out with the prodigious winger’s Barca for La Liga supremacy.

Attacker Lamine is fresh off adding to his trophy cabinet for the latest occasion this summer, courtesy of a World Cup title with Spain.

This follows a third Spanish top-flight crown of his fledgling career last season, as the 19-year-old sets about building a CV befitting of a player of such generational talents.

Speaking during an interview with El Chiringuito TV this week, the name of Barcelona’s winger sensation was therefore put to the aforementioned José Mourinho. Specifically, Real Madrid’s new headmaster was asked if he would be keen to bring Lamine to the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Portuguese tactician, however, was typically blunt in his response, assuring:

“He’s a very good player, but no. We already have the best players.”
