Real Madrid considering activating defender’s buyback clause next summer | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are weighing up the possibility of bringing Jacobo Ramón back to the club for next season. That’s according to several sources across the Spanish media.

Defender Jacobo for his part departed Real Madrid on a permanent basis in the summer of 2025. After making the call to seek out more consistent senior playing time in Italy, the 21-year-old has since gone on to emerge as a leading figure at Cesc Fàbregas’ Como.

After racking up 30 Serie A starts last season, Jacobo has since followed up with a further five starts from five over the early weeks of the new term.

And his impressive exploits along the way, it would appear, have not gone at all unnoticed back in Spain’s capital…

As per a report from journalist Javi Rubiano, since backed by market insider Matteo Moretto, the board at Real Madrid are giving serious consideration to a reunion with their former stopper next summer.

This would come by way of the activation of Los Blancos’ buyback clause, for a fee in the region of €9 million.
