PSG appear to be expanding their scouting to England, having held talks with several Premier League clubs in 2025, including Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton has emerged as a key name on their radar. TBR Football recently noted that Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United have all been keeping a close eye on Wharton as he continues to develop.

Should Wharton decide to move abroad, interest from top European clubs is expected to be significant. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG are reportedly monitoring his situation.

Mirror Football has also reported that Wharton is looking for Champions League football at the next step of his career. Manchester United view him as a priority target, but PSG’s regular appearances in the Champions League under Luis Enrique could give the French side an advantage.

The newest update on Wharton involves Real Madrid. According to Spanish outlet AS, the player has been made available to the club, but Los Blancos are not moving forward because of the steep price tag. The reason for this decision is that any transfer would exceed €70 million.

Amid ongoing rumors about Wharton, TEAMtalk’s Steve Pearson recently shared his thoughts on where the midfielder should head if the player decides to leave after the 2025-26 season.

“If Wharton is the type of man who doesn’t look beyond Tuesday, the answer is Liverpool,” Pearson wrote. “If he’s more forward-thinking – and everything we’ve seen so far suggests he’s an old head on young shoulders – then it really is a no-brainer, join Manchester United.

“Wharton is already a fine player but at 21, he’s not close to hitting his ceiling. To ensure his development continues at a rapid rate, and to ensure he can go from Premier League star to world-class superstar, he MUST play 90 minutes, week in, week out. That cannot happen at Anfield, given the presence of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.”
