Real Madrid’s shortcomings this season have shown that the team is missing the flair in midfield, especially now that neither Luka Modric nor Toni Kroos are part of the team.
This has compelled Real Madrid to scour the market for potential reinforcements. For a while, Manchester City star Rodri was one of the club’s top targets.
But it appears Real Madrid have moved on and are eyeing a bigger fish, ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are on the hunt for a new midfielder, and one of their newer targets is Vitinha of PSG.
The Portuguese international has been the architect of the PSG team that secured a sextuple this year. He is central to Luis Enrique’s project in the French capital.

But Real Madrid are keen on acquiring the services of Vitinha, who they believe could be an ideal fit for Xabi Alonso’s system.
The PSG superstar offers excellent ball distribution and has the ability to act as a link between the defence and the midfield.
Vitinha, starting in the Real Madrid midfield alongside Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde, could make Real Madrid extremely strong.
However, Los Blancos will face multiple hurdles in their bid to sign Vitinha.
For one, there is apparently an agreement between the player and PSG that if a club offer €100 million, the club would have to let him go. The €100 million price tag is likely to put Real Madrid off.
There is also a question of whether or not Vitinha is willing to leave PSG, considering he is the focal point of Enrique’s setup.
