A new update from AS has added fresh uncertainty to Real Madrid’s preparations for their La Liga meeting with Getafe, as the final training session before the match delivered mixed news for Alvaro Arbeloa.

Defender Dean Huijsen managed to complete only a part of the session with the main group, raising hopes that he could return to the squad.

However, Eduardo Camavinga was absent after suffering a severe toothache that forced him to visit the dentist for treatment.

Amidst all that, the report mentions that both players are now considered doubts, with a final decision expected when Arbeloa announces the squad on matchday.

What’s the situation?

Huijsen’s potential availability would offer much-needed relief in defence.

This is because at present, Madrid only have two fully fit centre-backs ready to start, namely, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba

With Eder Militao and Raul Asensio unavailable due to injury, options are limited. Huijsen’s return, even to the bench, would provide valuable depth.

Camavinga’s situation remains unclear. While the dental issue is not related to muscular or structural injury, his absence from training complicates preparation.

His availability will likely depend on how he responds in the hours leading up to kick-off.

Trouble brewing for Real Madrid

In addition to those doubts, Arbeloa already has five confirmed absentees. Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Asensio, Militao and Dani Ceballos are all ruled out.

There is at least one positive note that Rodrygo is set to return after nearly three weeks on the sidelines, offering Arbeloa an additional attacking option.

With Barcelona having already secured their result this weekend, Madrid cannot afford further slip-ups.

However, with defensive numbers stretched and midfield concerns unresolved, the final squad announcement will be closely watched.
