The January transfer window is just around the corner, presenting most clubs in Europe with an opportunity to perhaps reshuffle their squad and address squad issues.

Real Madrid, though, are not like most clubs and have historically avoided taking part in the winter transfer window.

However, this year could be an exception, with the club ready to part ways with Endrick, who is set to join Olympique Lyon on a loan deal.

Endrick’s departure may have ramifications as it will effectively block Gonzalo Garcia’s potential exit, which now seems intriguing given his lack of game-time and interest from Stuttgart, among other clubs.

Garcia hinting at desire to leave?

Gonzalo Garcia, for his part, has recently hinted that he may be considering leaving Real Madrid.

As reported by El Chiringuito, Garcia, while arriving at training, was recently approached by a reporter, who asked him if he is considering leaving in January, with 2026 being a World Cup year.

However, instead of responding to it, the forward remained awkwardly silent and drove off, which might be a veiled message for Florentino Perez.

After impressing in the FIFA Club World Cup in the summer, Garcia has endured a difficult season to say the least, racking up just over 200 minutes of action.

This is not an ideal solution for a talent, who had shown he is capable of serving as a backup for Kylian Mbappe in the number nine role.

Unfortunately for him, though, Real Madrid are unlikely to not entertain any offers for Garcia, as they do require a backup for Mbappe following Endrick’s likely departure.

But the forward will face a key decision in the summer of 2026, as far as his future is concerned.
