Álvaro Odriozola is close to returning to Real Sociedad, Relevo report. Odriozola has reached an agreement with La Real, and they are already working with Real Madrid to agree on the best way to carry out the transfer.
There is goodwill between both clubs, and all parties are keen to move forward quickly. Odriozola does not fit into Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, and after two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich and Fiorentina, he looks set to leave the Bernabéu once again.
Los Blancos have not received many offers for the defender as only Almería have shown interest in him, but they were not willing to pay a transfer fee.
Odriozola has already played 57 games for Real Sociedad when he was previously at the club, before he was presented at the Santiago Bernabéu in 2018.
Despite a promising start to his career, his progression has stalled, to the point that he was loaned to Bayern, where he played very little.
For Spain, he has only made four appearances, and will surely have aspirations of forcing his way back into the picture.
