In a recent tweet, journalist Sergio Santos mentioned that Real Madrid are hoping to land Rayo Vallecano full-back Fran Garcia. It has been claimed that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to land the Spanish left-back next summer.

Garcia’s Impressive Run Of Form At The Estadio de Vallecas

Garcia has enjoyed a solid campaign with the Spanish outfit as he has produced a handful of promising displays on the left side of their backline. The 23-year-old has picked up a couple of assists in 13 appearances for his current employers this season across multiple competitions.

The Spanish talent has given a good account of himself at both ends of the pitch based on his average of 1.5 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 1.3 clearances, 0.7 shots, 1.0 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even taken care of the ball when distributing possession from the left flank, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 85.2% in the Spanish top-flight (stats via whoscored).

His current contract with Rayo Vallecano will run out in the summer of 2025. Hence, Los Blancos will have to make a sizable offer if they are serious about acquiring the services of the Spanish sensation at the end of this campaign.

Should Real Madrid Boss Carlo Ancelotti Get Garcia On Board Next Year?

Garcia is a solid tackler of the ball and can make some timely interceptions for his side on the defensive third of the field. He usually clears the danger when needed and can make some driving runs with the ball on the left flank. The Spaniard is a decent striker of the ball as well and has got a knack for creating some inviting chances for his teammates in the opponent’s half.

Someone with Garcia’s skillset will be an excellent addition to Carlo Ancelotti‘s match-day squad as he will offer some healthy competition for Ferland Mendy in the race to secure a regular starting spot at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

At 23, Garcia’s best years are ahead of him, so Los Blancos should fancy making the most out of his talents if they can find a way to bring him to the Spanish capital next summer.

We can expect Garcia to add more quality to Ancelotti’s defence and help the Madrid giants challenge for multiple trophies in the coming seasons. Thus, Real Madrid should think about going all out to get the Spaniard on board next year.
