Former Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has no interest in a coaching career in future.
Casillas won five La Liga titles and three UEFA Champions Leagues with Los Blancos including one of each as captain.
He also captained Spain in their golden era from 2008 to 2012 with two UEFA European Championships and a first ever FIFA World Cup.
Since retirement in 2020, he has worked with the Real Madrid foundation, but not in a coaching capacity.
The former goalkeeper has now rejected any chance of taking up a managerial role in future and he has no plan to pursue it as a future option.
“Putting up with 23 guys is very difficult. I don’t feel like doing that, because I have a short fuse”, as per quotes from Marca.
“I like football although I don’t follow it as much as before, but when Real Madrid play a big game, I feel like going.”
Casilas was also asked about on his view over who should start in goal for Real Madrid in their Champions League final clash with Borussia Dortmund on June 1.
Andriy Lunin has impressed as a cover option for Thibaut Courtois this season, but with the Belgian now back to full fitness, a decision is incoming for Carlo Ancelotti.
Match rhythm is an issue for Courtois at the moment, according to Casillas, and his pick is Lunin.
