Battling through the competition in Real Madrid’s midfield is not for the ordinary. After all, Los Blancos have a gold mine of resources in the department and it is close to impossible for any player to stake claim as a clear starter.

One player who has gone on to establish himself as a non-negotiable part of the lineup, however, is Aurelien Tchouameni.

Quite clearly the best defensive midfielder in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup, the Frenchman has been solid for the men in white time and time again and is one of the first names on the team sheet when fit.

Real Madrid shut the rumours

Despite Tchouameni’s great run at Real Madrid, recent weeks have seen him linked with a move to the Premier League. Arsenal and Liverpool, among other clubs, have been linked with the player over a move in 2025.

Fabrizio Romano, however, clearly states that Real Madrid are ‘in love’ with the holding midfielder and that there are no plans to sell him despite the rumours in Europe.

He is a crucial part of Ancelotti’s project for both the present and the future and there is no chance he leaves Real Madrid as it stands.

Notably, the youngster had offers from England back in 2022 when he chose to move to Real Madrid over the Premier League. His preference, thus, has been clear from the very start.

The 24-year-old was on duty with the French national team in the ongoing international break but was released from the squad after sustaining a minor injury.

His blow does not appear serious and he could well be ready to play Real Madrid’s next game. Needless to say, no risk will be taken if the player is even slightly away from complete fitness.
