Real Madrid have been rocked by a spate of injuries in recent weeks, coinciding with the team’s disappointing run of results that has put manager Xabi Alonso under intense pressure.
As recently confirmed, Eder Militao became the latest casualty, getting sidelined for four months due to a hamstring injury he sustained against Celta Vigo.
Now, it has emerged that superstar forward Kylian Mbappe is also dealing with a fitness concern at the moment.
Indeed, according to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE, the 26-year-old French forward has fractured the ring finger in his left hand.
Despite the ailment, the attacker is set to play for Real Madrid in the crucial game against Manchester City later this week in the UEFA Champions League.

Mbappe has been one of the very few players who has performed well for Los Blancos this season, with more than half of the team’s goals coming from him.
Indeed, the former PSG ace has already racked up 25 goals and four assists from only 21 matches in all competitions this term.
Losing him to an injury, at a time when the team finds itself in a crisis situation, would be a disastrous development for the Spanish capital club.
For now, however, despite the fractured finger, Mbappe is all set to take the field for Real Madrid against Manchester City at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday – a game that could decide the fate of manager Alonso at the club.
