Real Madrid will play their final game of 2025 on Saturday night when they host Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu before the Christmas break arrives.

Federico Valverde could miss Sevilla clash

Indeed, according to The Athletic’s Guillermo Rai, Federico Valverde did not train with the rest of the team today and is a serious doubt to face Sevilla on Saturday.

The Uruguayan international, who was not available for the midweek Copa del Rey tie against CF Talavera either, worked by himself inside the gym facilities.

As per the report, Valverde’s absence from training is due to discomfort he is feeling from a knock he picked up.

Given the situation, the 27-year-old mainstay’s availability to face Sevilla this weekend is under serious doubt.

So far this season, Valverde has played 22 matches in all competitions, assisting four goals. Recent reports have suggested that he has been playing through pain in recent games. So, an extended break could serve the midfielder well.

Positives from training

On the positive side, Eduardo Camavinga, Ferland Mendy, and David Alaba once again trained with the rest of the group, having already done so on Thursday, confirms Melchor Ruiz.

Raul Asencio, who missed the cup tie and Thursday’s training due to a fever, was also back and participated in the group training session.

Jude Bellingham, who also trained inside the facilities on Thursday, was back working with the rest of the squad today.

Youngsters David Jimenez, Thiago Pitarch, and Jorge Cestero also worked with the senior team.
