Eduardo Camavinga enjoyed a strong run of form in the past few weeks at Real Madrid, leading to him being called up to the France national team.

The 22-year-old midfielder, though, did not train with the rest of the France squad on Tuesday, along with Barcelona defender Jules Kounde, raising concerns.

Camavinga a doubt

Now, according to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Camavinga is struggling with pain in his hamstring, and as such, is a doubt for France’s upcoming fixture against Ukraine.

The Real Madrid midfield starlet once again trained away from the squad today and his involvement for Thursday’s game at Parc des Princes.

So far this season, Camavinga has featured 11 times for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring one goal in the process.

The French international has already missed a few matches due to physical problems and Los Blancos will be hoping that the hamstring pain he is suffering from currently while away on national team duty is not something serious.

Camavinga had also missed France’s matches in the September international break, but did play twice last month, clocking 95 minutes across two games against Azerbaijan and Iceland.

For now, though, his involvement against Ukraine remains uncertain. However, Camavinga’s Real Madrid teammate and France captain, Kylian Mbappe, is expected to start for Les Bleus at Parc des Princes.
