Real Madrid are beginning to reassess Eduardo Camavinga’s long-term role at the club, with a recent report from Defensa Central revealing that the hierarchy is no longer ruling out a potential sale of the French midfielder.

While there is no immediate urgency to part ways, the situation has evolved enough for the idea to be firmly on the table.

Camavinga’s undeniable talent has never been questioned. However, the recurring physical issues continue to hamper his progress.

Persistent problems and untimely absences have disrupted his rhythm, making it difficult for him to establish the consistency required at the highest level.

So what now?

This stop-start pattern has forced Real Madrid to take a more practical view.

The club still believes Camavinga can contribute significantly when fit, but there is also an awareness that prolonged inconsistency could ultimately work against both parties.

As things stand, Camavinga’s future is not sealed, but the current campaign is shaping up to be decisive.

If he can string together games in the coming months, maintain fitness and reassert his influence, the conversation could shift back in his favour.

There is a price

If not, Real Madrid are prepared to listen. That does not mean a fire sale. Any potential exit would only be considered for a substantial fee, with figures close to €100 million being mentioned as a benchmark.

Given Camavinga’s age and market appeal, the club believes such a valuation is justified and achievable under the right conditions.

From a strategic standpoint, offloading Camavinga would generate significant funds that Real Madrid are keen to reinvest, not as a like-for-like replacement, but in a midfielder with a different profile.

The current priority is a true playmaker, and the funds generated through his sale can be invested in signing a new player.
