Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Racing de Santander for academy graduate Sergio Martínez, paying his full release clause in a single instalment. The Cantabrian club said in a statement on Monday.

The Laredo-born player departs after a development path entirely at Racing, having joined the club aged ten.

Martínez progressed through every youth level from Alevín B to the first team, where he made 15 appearances.
