Shocking reports emerged earlier today claiming that Real Madrid were planning the return of Nico Paz for the coming winter transfer window as they saw his profile to be the right fit to help the team get past the mid-season hurdle they have hit.
The Argentine star, after all, has been in great form for Como this season and has led the midfield from the front with his goal contributions. In just 12 starts, he already has five goals and four assists to his name.
Now, however, Fabrizio Romano brings to light that the deal will not take place in the winter market but likely at the end of the season.
The ever-reliable Italian journalist now reports that Real Madrid have indeed decided to bring Paz back home as has been hinted at since the beginning of the season.

His return, however, will only come in the summer transfer window next year. The club intend for him to be their first signing for next season as it stands.
Los Blancos have a clause in Paz’s contract to help facilitate his return in the summer for a fixed fee. That number stood at close to €8 million for last summer and is set at €9 million for the next window.
There is, thus, no provision to bring the star back this summer even if the club wish to for the clause is applicable only for June.
Paz has already given the green light for his move to Real Madrid at the end of the season, and with Como eager to keep hold of him until June, there is no chance of a return earlier.
