Real Madrid have already made a couple of headline signings this summer window with Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold arriving.

The Spanish giants are also working hard to rope in Alvaro Carreras to strengthen the left-back slot before flying to the USA this month for the FIFA Club World Cup.

But the business will not stop there as Real Madrid plan on making a few more additions to equip new manager Xabi Alonso with a squad capable of challenging on all fronts next season.

A new midfielder and a forward on Real Madrid’s agenda

As such, Josep Pedrerol on El Chiringuito TV reports that Real Madrid wish to sign a new midfielder and a new forward once the FIFA Club World Cup is done.

The plan to bring in a new midfielder is well-established by now and is a necessity considering that Real Madrid opted against replacing Toni Kroos last summer and will now be bidding goodbye to Luka Modric as well.

Angelo Stiller of VfB Stuttgart has been identified as a viable option for the position but is expected to cost around €50 million.

As for a new forward, reports have suggested that Alonso wants the club to sign a proper centre-forward similar to former striker Joselu in profile this summer.

Furthermore, there have been lingering question marks over the future of Rodrygo Goes as well, and a potential departure could force the club to dip into the market for a reinforcement.

So, there will be more activity in the market from Real Madrid once they return from the Club World Cup in the USA.
