After a season that saw him become one of the most promising talents in the Serie A, Nico Paz has continued his rapid rise to prominence this term.
In just 14 matches across all competitions, Paz has been involved in ten goals, which means he has already surpassed two-thirds of his tally from last season (15).
Beyond his productivity, Paz has been integral to Como’s chance creation and has flourished under the leadership of Cesc Fabregas.
Thanks to his blistering performances, Real Madrid are reportedly prepared to activate his buyback clause next summer and bring him back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid’s desire to bring back Paz comes against the backdrop of fears that the Argentine may not actually be able to make a breakthrough in the team, already brimming with talented number ten options.

However, as reported by AS, Real Madrid are not bringing back Paz just for the sake of it and in fact, see his return as ‘significant’.
This is because Los Blancos rate the youngster quite highly due to his ability to offer productivity in the final third.
In addition to creating chances for his team, Paz is indeed capable of scoring goals. He also has the height and physicality – something that Arda Guler lacks.
Moreover, the Argentine has already established himself as a leader of sorts at Como, which is a good sign for Real Madrid, who are looking for someone who can take charge.
This is relevant especially after the departure of Luka Modric. Nico Paz, therefore, fits the bill perfectly for Los Blancos and it will be interesting to see whether or not the La Fabrica gem can succeed at the Bernabeu next season.
