After returning to winning ways against Olympiacos, Real Madrid will be gunning for another victory when they face Girona in La Liga on Sunday night.
Leading up to the match at Estadi Montilivi, Los Blancos manager Xabi Alonso has greeted positive news on the injury and fitness front.
Indeed, according to AS, Real Madrid are set to recover four players who were absent for the trip to Greece for Sunday’s game against Girona.
Indeed, Thibaut Courtois, Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, and Franco Mastantuono are all set to be available. But the same cannot be said about Dean Huijsen.
Courtois, who could not travel to Athens due to gastroenteritis, is now fully recovered and will return against Girona.
As for Mastantuono, Rudiger and Militao, everything will depend on the sensations they have in the final training session in order to determine whether they enter the squad list. In principle, all three have a strong chance of travelling to Girona.
Mastantuono has missed the last four matches against Liverpool, Rayo Vallecano, Elche and Olympiacos, due to pubalgia issues. The discomfort had been getting better for the Argentine prodigy, who is now on the verge of a return.

Militao was injured while playing for Brazil in a friendly against Tunisia earlier this month. As a result, he missed Real Madrid’s last two matches in which the team conceded five goals, showing his importance to the team.
Rudiger has been out since very early in the season, but has been close to making his comeback for a while now.
All three completed part of the training session with the group today and have strong chances of returning on Sunday.
Huijsen, meanwhile, is doubtful to face Girona. The Real Madrid starlet suffered a knock to the knee in the match against Elche and worked in the gym. As such, he has very few chances of making the squad list.
Dani Carvajal and David Alaba also have no chance of returning and are continuing with their recovery processes.
