In a major development, MARCA reports that Real Madrid have successfully secured its most significant long-term commercial asset by reaching an agreement to extend its partnership with Emirates until the 2030-2031 season.

The renewal, first reported by 2Playbook, ensures that the Dubai-based airline will remain the club’s primary sponsor for an additional five seasons beyond its current expiration.

As per the report, the new partnership will now bring in approximately €74 million annually. This represents a notable increase in guaranteed revenue compared to the previous contract.

A key highlight of the expanded deal is its increased scope. While the Emirates branding has long been a fixture on the front of the men’s and women’s first-team football kits, the new contract now incorporates the Real Madrid basketball team’s kit.

The timing of this renewal is crucial for President Florentino Perez’s board, especially given how Real Madrid’s interim financial statements reveal a complex fiscal picture.

While total revenue reached €618 million, net profit fell by 80% to €5 million. This dip is largely attributed to a 26.2% surge in squad investment, with salary expenses rising by €35 million and player transfer amortizations increasing by €20 million.

Furthermore, commercial revenue in the first half of the 2025-2026 season saw a year-on-year decline of 11.7%, totaling €223.6 million.

The club linked this decrease to the termination of its long-standing agreement with Providence.

By locking in this lucrative €74 million-a-year deal with Emirates, Real Madrid effectively offset these challenges and bring in a stable income stream for the coming years.
