Real Madrid appear to have made a fresh list of enemies after president Florentino Perez’s recent comments at the club’s Extraordinary General Assembly.
During his address, Perez lambasted key Spanish footballing authorities including La Liga and its president Javier Tebas, who didn’t forget to hit back either.
Now, in yet another sign of growing animosity between Real Madrid and Spain’s footballing authorities, it appears the club have skipped important meeting this week.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid, on Tuesday, skipped a meeting that took place at the Ciudad del Futbol in Las Rozas.
It was a significant meeting of the Arbitration Commission, a body tasked with bridging the gap between La Liga, the RFEF, and the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA).

Despite receiving a formal invitation, Real Madrid opted not to send a representative, leaving an empty seat at a table that included La Liga President Javier Tebas, RFEF President Rafael Louzan, and AFE President David Aganzo.
The club’s decision to snub the summit comes as no surprise to those following the escalating tensions between Los Blancos and the governing bodies.
As mentioned earlier, it arrives days after Perez delivered a blistering critique of the Spanish refereeing system.
While Real Madrid’s General Manager, Jose Angel Sanchez, has been a regular attendee in the past, the club now sees little value in these gatherings, which included representatives from Sevilla, Racing Santander, Granada, and Albacete.
As per the report, the meeting focused on potential reforms such as a new “Video Review” system for every matchday and the removal of territoriality restrictions in referee appointments.
