La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to be without the services of Dani Ceballos for an extended period moving forward.
This comes after the midfielder suffered an injury setback on Saturday.
Real Madrid were of course back in action yesterday evening, making the trip to Pamplona for a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
Ceballos, for his part, was introduced off the bench at El Sadar, during the 2nd-half.
En route to an eventual 2-1 defeat for Los Blancos, however, the former Arsenal man endured an outing to forget.
First, Ceballos was responsible for surrendering possession in the buildup to Osasuna netting the game’s winner.
And as since revealed by a round of post-match medical tests, the 29-year-old picked up a muscular injury late on, too.
So, just how long is Ceballos likely to be unavailable for selection?
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano, citing journalist Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE:
‘Dani Ceballos is expected to be out for seven weeks with muscle injury suffered this weekend.’
