Real Madrid star issues direct response to claims of problems in the dressing room | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has taken to social media on Thursday, to hit back at claims in the media of mounting unrest behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

The week to date has of course seen a whole host of sources hint at alleged issues spreading in the Real Madrid dressing room.

After Los Blancos stuttered to a third successive outing without victory, it was even reported that Vinícius Jr. had called a halt to contract negotiations with the club owing to the state of his relationship with manager Xabi Alonso.

The Brazilian was nevertheless back in from the off on Wednesday, as Alonso guided his side to a hard-fought Champions League victory at Olympiacos.

And as alluded to above, in the game’s aftermath, Federico Valverde moved to quash the negative media narrative surrounding he and his teammates once and for all.

In a post on his official Instagram account, midfielder Valverde wrote:

“After a week in which a lot of things were said about us, we are now more united than ever. Having Vini and Mbappé in the team is luck, but playing with the best team in the world and a committed group is a great honour. On a personal level, I’m working to return to my best level. The coach has always been by my side, supporting me and doing everything he can to help me continue to develop and help the team. It’s not always easy, but the technical staff and the players are more united than ever.”
