A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid sent a reminder to manager Xabi Alonso regarding his talents whilst on international duty this week.

The player in question? Rodrygo.

Frontman Rodrygo is for his part of course fresh off a difficult opening to the new campaign in Spain’s capital, which has seen the 24-year-old largely condemned to backup duties.

After showcasing flashes of brilliance over recent weeks, though, he was nevertheless recalled to Brazil’s national team ranks by Carlo Ancelotti.

And as alluded to above, on Friday, Rodrygo proved precisely why…

Afforded a starting berth in Brazil’s friendly meeting with South Korea, the versatile attacker conjured up a stellar individual showing.

En route to an evenual 5-0 rout, Rodrygo was on target to the tune of a brace, one of which was laid on by Real Madrid teammate Vinícius Jr.

Yet to find the net at club level this season, as much represented a timely reminder for Xabi Alonso and his staff of Rodrygo’s unquestionable ability in front of goal.
