Yan Diomande’s commitment to RB Leipzig remains unchanged despite his imminent move to Real Madrid.
Indeed, as per Mundo Deportivo, the 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger returned to training with the Bundesliga club on Monday, even though he has already agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and both clubs are finalising the details of his transfer.
RB Leipzig themselves highlighted his return by posting photographs on social media showing a smiling Diomande, in what could prove to be his final day at the Bundesliga club.
Reports in Spain suggest that the announcement of the transfer is imminent, although some sources in Germany, such as Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg, continue to maintain that the final agreement between the clubs has not yet been reached.
The reporter claims that Leipzig have not yet rejected Real Madrid’s second offer, but are pushing for a higher fixed fee and lesser performance-related add-ons, leading to no breakthrough being achieved yet.
Nonetheless, once the transfer is officially announced, Diomande is expected to travel to Madrid immediately and join Jose Mourinho’s squad for pre-season training.
The deal is currently valued at around €115 million, with negotiations continuing over additional performance-related bonuses, which could potentially take the overall cost of the operation to €135 million.
If the deal goes through, Diomande is set to become one of the most expensive signings in Real Madrid’s history. In fact, he would be the club-record arrival if all the add-ons are achieved during his time at the Bernabeu.

The teenager will become the club’s fifth arrival ahead of the 2026/27 season, following the signings of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, and Marc Cucurella.
Real Madrid beat off tough competition from European champions PSG to the signing of the teenage winger.
The Parisians also had reached an agreement with the winger over personal terms during the World Cup, but Los Blancos’ entry into the picture changed things completely.
Now, even though Diomande has reported for pre-season training with Leipzig today, his arrival at the Spanish capital club is understood to be imminent.
