La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have this week been tipped as a surprise potential landing spot for Lazio star Matteo Guendouzi.

This comes amid the understanding that the former Arsenal man is expected to be on the move in January.

Amid a delicate financial situation at the club at present, the Lazio board are seeking out profitable winter sales.

The name of midfielder Guendouzi, in turn, has come to the fore as one potential option.

The Frenchman’s representatives, according to Fichajes, have already been in touch with the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan.

Also understood to be taking into consideration a move for his signature, though, are the aforementioned Real Madrid.

Amid a search for reinforcements in the middle of the park ahead of the predicted departure of Dani Ceballos, Los Blancos, it is claimed, have earmarked Guendouzi as a potential low-risk, high-reward addition.

The 26-year-old, it is claimed, could be available for as little as €20 million.
