Real Madrid completed their second training session of the week on Tuesday, focused on Sunday’s visit to Elche.

After back-to-back games without a victory vs Liverpool and Rayo Vallecano, it is imperative for Xabi Alonso & co. to bounce back strongly and collect three points in the La Liga fixture.

Mastantuono, Rudiger, Tchouameni pushing for return

Leading up to the match, Mundo Deportivo reports that three injured players, Franco Mastantuono, Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni, are pushing to be included in the squad.

Mastantuono has been dealing with pubalgia for a while now and previous reports suggested that a return could take place in December. However, he has begun individual training on the pitch this week.

As for Tchouameni and Rudiger, both have been working on the pitch in recent days, and continued to do so again today. As such, the pair is pushing to make it to the squad against Elche on Sunday.

If they are fit and ready, it will be a huge boost for Alonso and Real Madrid, adding more depth and quality to the squad ahead of a tricky stretch of fixtures for the league leaders.

Meanwhile, ankle discomfort for Kylian Mbappe and muscle problems for Camavinga caused both players to return from the France camp early. However, both are expected to be fit and available for the trip to Elche.

Meanwhile, Dean Huijsen, who left the Spain camp without playing due to muscle overload, did not suffer an injury and, after the necessary rest, is available for the La Liga game.

Thibaut Courtois, who was sidelined for Belgium with an injury to the right adductor longus muscle, and Valverde, who missed two Uruguay friendlies because of a muscle issue in the right semimembranosus, are also expected to play unless there is a setback.
