Weeks after the incident between Xabi Alonso and Vinicius during El Clasico, Franco Mastantuono has made a revealing statement.

At Real Madrid, Vinicius Junior is constantly making headlines. The Brazilian doesn't really see eye to eye with Xabi Alonso, who hasn't cut him any slack. To recall, during the last Clasico, Vini Jr lost his cool after being substituted. Fuming with anger, he eventually apologized to his teammates, the president, and the club a few days later. Argentine youngster Mastantuono revisited this episode in an interview with Cadena SER.

"Clearly, leaving the field like that wasn't the right choice (...) Vinícius apologized to Xabi Alonso and everyone else. The most important thing is that everyone stays united (...) Vinicius is an incredible person. He faces a lot of criticism, but he always brings joy to the dressing room. Of course, he gets angry, just like the rest of us. Obviously, the way he left wasn't right. He admitted it and knows how important he is to the team. He's one of the captains. These things happen in football." shared the young Argentine talent.
